Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd have the following Terms and Conditions
Contract
Any contract of hire between you the “Hirer” and Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd includes only the equipment specified at the time of booking.
Ownership and title of all hired equipment shall remain with Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd at all times.
Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd will provide services as agreed, either pickup and return to our warehouse or W9 depot address, or we will deliver, set-up, de-rig and collect all equipment you have hired, by the sound engineer allocated to your job.
Payment
For all bookings in 2024-25, payment is due in full within 24 hours of invoice being sent or before the event takes place. Any other arrangements must be agreed with your account manager.
For advanced bookings taking place in 2024 a deposit of 50% will be immediately due to reserve the booking hire at the reduced rate. Payment to be made within 24 hours of the receipt of invoice.
If you would like to hire for multiple days, you will be eligible for a discount, agreed when booking.
In the event that invoice payments are not received in full, any previously offered discounts shall be considered null and void. The reinstatement of discounted rates is contingent upon the complete settlement of the invoiced amount.
Equipment Responsibility
Whilst every endeavour will be made to supply the equipment booked, we reserve the right to substitute other similar products.
All hire equipment is accepted as in perfect working order and has been sound checked, at the time of delivery.
A technician will stay onsite or be available until all technical checks have been completed.
Your Responsibilities
Any equipment hired is the direct responsibility of the Hirer whilst it is in their possession. The hirer agrees to insure the equipment against loss, theft, or damage at their own expense for the period of hire. The Hirer agrees to take appropriate care to ensure the security of the equipment whilst in their possession.
The Hirer shall in no circumstances remove the equipment from the venue without obtaining the consent of the Owner in writing.
Liability
The Owner accepts no liability for the loss, damage, injury, or death to any company, firm or person arising in connection with the use by the Hirer of the Equipment including without prejudice the failure of the Equipment.
The Hirer will notify Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd immediately should the equipment be stolen, lost or damaged in any way.
If any damage occurs as a result of negligence the Hirer will be responsible for replacing the item or the cost of repair.
The Hirer agrees to pay Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd full, new replacement costs for any equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged in any way and is beyond economic repair.
The Hirer shall not sell or part with possession or control of equipment at any time during the hire period.
Hire equipment won’t be taken out of the UK without prior written agreement from Rigs and Gigs PA Hire Ltd.
Under no circumstances will the Hirer alter, modify, adapt, or interfere with in any way any item of equipment hired, nor will they allow any other party to do so.
The Hirer will be subject to extra and continuing hire charges for any period that the equipment is retained beyond the agreed hire period if any hire equipment is returned incomplete.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and local lockdowns, will be refunded in full. Request must be sent in writing.
Bookings cancelled once confirmed, 7 days prior to the commencement of Hirer are charged in full, bookings cancelled within 14 days prior to hire commencement are charged at 50% of the Hirer rate.
Hire Periods
A day is one 24-hour period or part thereof. A week is one 7-day period or any part thereof. A month is one 28-day period or part thereof.
Early Cancellation
Upon termination, prior to the completion of the agreed term, the Hirer shall return the Equipment to the address which the Owner shall specify and the Hirer will pay to the Owner by way of agreed damages.
Additional Charges
If our engineers cannot gain access to the venue or delivery address during your agreed time slot, and we are therefore delayed, the Hirer will be charged at £60/hour for every hour that our delivery drivers must wait past your agreed time slot. After an hour delay and if we still cannot access the venue or property we may need to reschedule your delivery time slot and you will be charged accordingly for a second delivery attempt. If our engineers are delayed by the Hirer or by the venue not being ready whilst we attempt to set up your hired equipment, the hirer will be charged £15 for every 15 minutes by which are delayed over and above the allocated set up time.
The Hirer shall use the equipment in a proper manner and shall at its own expense keep the equipment in good and substantial repair and condition, reasonable wear and tear expected, and keep the same insured against fire, loss, damage or risk from whatever cause arising in the full replacement value thereof including a year’s loss of hire in some insurance office or offices of repute and will permit the Owner at all reasonable times to have access to the equipment and to inspect the state and condition thereof.
